The SMUS rugby program has a long tradition of excellence. The program includes focused skill sessions, a low player-to-coach ratio, and individually designed weight training programs for athletes.

Current students on our Boys and Girls rugby teams have represented Vancouver Island, BC and Canada at tournaments nationally and internationally.

SMUS program includes:

• Coaching from Ian Hyde-Lay (former national player and junior national coach) and Eliot Anderson (former varsity player and Canadian premier player)
• Tours to Australia, Spain and Portugal in recent years
