SMUS has two girls field hockey teams at the Senior School, while Victoria has a vibrant field hockey community, including a Rising Stars program for skilled teenage players, as well as Junior League for all players in the spring. Many of the competitive players at the school also participate in the Adult Ladies league as well.

SMUS program includes:

• Coaching from David Kerr (former Canadian Premier League player) and Stef Sloboda (former head coach at University of Alberta and video analyst for the Senior National Women's team)
• Access to world-class water turf facilities at the University of Victoria that have hosted the Commonwealth Games and Olympic qualifiers
