Begun in September 2021, and continuing throughout the 2021-22 school year, SMUS celebrated our Jubilee – 50 years of amalgamation of our two founding schools. While Jubilee was primarily a celebration of the school since 1971, it also acknowledged the importance of our founding schools in this legacy, dating back to 1906 (University School) and 1910 (St. Michael’s School).
Jubilee was a year long celebration involving all students and the broader SMUS community; from our Kindergarten students to our oldest “Old Boy” alumni. It was an opportunity for us to reflect on how far we’ve come, to uphold our core values, and to create a legacy for the following 50 years.
