Tribute Giving
If someone at SMUS has made an impact on your life, you can honour them by making a tribute gift in their name.
A great teacher is many things: a catalyst, a counsellor, a mentor, and sometimes all three. These teachers make a profound impact on our lives.
So it’s no surprise that for more than a hundred years, we’ve heard many stories from our students, parents and alumni about the teachers and staff that have made a big difference.
If a teacher or other staff member at SMUS – past or present – has made a big difference in your life, you may recognize them by making a gift to the Annual Fund in their honour.
How to make a tribute gift
You may make a gift to the Annual Fund recognizing a teacher or member of staff through the online donation form. Your gift will be directed to the Annual Fund. After selecting the Tribute Giving option you will also be asked to provide:
- The name of the person you are recognizing. They can be a past or present member of staff.
- Your personal message to the member of staff (optional).
You will also be asked if you would like your tribute to be made anonymously.
What happens next?
A teacher or staff member who has been recognized by a Tribute Gift will receive a card with your personal message and your name (unless you choose to give anonymously).
