It is already time to start thinking about camps!
With summer fast approaching, SMUS Camps has been busy scheduling an incredible selection of new camp experiences. With over 40 different offerings spanning more than 60 sessions, there is bound to be something for youth of all ages.
First and foremost, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our own SMUS Basketball Camps, led by Jamie Yorath ('10), Head Coach of the SMUS Junior Boys Basketball team. These basketball camps will emphasize skill-building and provide individualized attention with our high coach-to-player ratios. There will be four co-ed sessions catering to students aged 8-10 and 11-14. Make sure you take advantage of learning with our SMUS basketball coaches this summer.
For the first time ever, SMUS Camps will also be running programs at the Junior School for our campers aged 6-12. The newly built facilities provide an excellent location to foster a fun and welcoming camp environment, complete with age-appropriate furniture and the newly constructed playground. This is where we will offer our Discovery Camps, our new Adventure Camp for 8–11-year-olds, and programs by our partners Byte Camp, Zen Maker Lab, and SPARK Business Academy. This is an ideal location for our younger campers to experience the magic of camp.
Another addition to our summer offerings are our rowing camps held at the SMUS Rowing Centre. We are excited to share that David Wakulich, SMUS Rowing Coach, will be offering a Learn to Row camp for first-timers looking to grasp the fundamentals of the sport. An Intermediate camp will also be available for those with limited rowing experience seeking to elevate their skills and knowledge to the next level.
These are just a few of the exciting new camps we are offering in 2024. For a comprehensive list and detailed information on our 2024 summer camp programs please refer to our Summer Camp Calendar.
Registration opens on Friday, March 1 at 10 am.
