At last week's cross-campus Carol Service, Middle School students spoke eloquently about traditions and rituals. We continued that theme this week as the final days before Winter Break are filled with SMUS traditions that bring us together as a community.
Music and concerts are a big part of the last week of school, as our Senior School band students performed a Small Ensembles Concert Monday night, followed by Primary Concerts at the Junior School and a Middle School band concert. We hosted the Shergold Pancake Breakfast on Tuesday, in memory of Stephanie and Chuck Shergold, two SMUS community members who passed away in 2005 and have left a lasting impact on our school. And Thursday was filled with lots of Christmas-themed activities, including the Middle School Reindeer Games and the All-School Christmas Assembly, where our whole school community comes together for an afternoon of music and fun.
We hope you have a wonderful and relaxing Winter Break.
