Board of Governors
As an independent school, the SMUS Society is self-governing and relies upon its own assets and resources. A board of twelve governors, elected by members of the Society, together with two appointed governors, autonomously governs the school. Governors serve for a term of three years with nominations and when required elections of candidates to the office of governor taking place annually. The two appointed governors are the presidents of the Parents' Auxiliary and the Alumni Association. The Board of Governors may also appoint non-voting advisory governors.
