Activites
Boarding students are rarely bored during their weekends. Of course, weekends are for completing school work, but they’re also for playing games with other houses, and going on day trips to Mt. Washington to ski or snowboard.
Houseparents from each house arrange different activities every weekend, so students will have multiple options to choose from. In the past they’ve organized events like:
- Arts and crafts,
- Beach trips,
- Bowling,
- Cooking classes,
- Dinner downtown,
- Hiking,
- Movie nights,
- Visiting museums & art galleries,
- Shopping,
- Swimming,
- Surfing,
- Trips to Vancouver, Seattle & Portland,
- And Whale watching.
On-campus activities include a weekly brunch (a staple meal when living in Victoria) on Sunday mornings. Students are encouraged to join in with sports games, to use the fitness centres available to them, and of course to play in the friendly but still competitive House Games.
Weekends don’t always have to be packed with activity. Taking time for yourself to relax and prepare for the next week is important in maintaining a healthy school and life balance.
