Since its inception in 2014, The Best School Year Ever® scholarship competition has aimed to discover exceptional high school students and offer them an unparalleled opportunity.
Throughout the years we have welcomed over 60 students to SMUS via the competition, it's evident that we've accomplished precisely that goal. Ranging from valedictorians and Head Prefects to lead performers in our school productions and nationally recognized rowers, The Best School Year Ever contest has consistently attracted extraordinarily talented students to SMUS.
This week marks our countdown to the The Best School Year Ever 2024 application deadline of December 1. Continuing our mission to bring outstanding high school students into our vibrant community! For this year, we're granting four boarding scholarships to provide North American students with the chance to immerse themselves in learning at SMUS.
Winners entering Grade 9, 10, 11, or 12 in September 2023 will receive a comprehensive boarding scholarship worth up to $75,000 for the 2023-24 academic year.
Participating in the contest is straightforward. Students need to respond to a few questions for the initial entry, and our semifinalists will be invited to create a brief video (no longer than three minutes!) to assist our judges in selecting the finalists.
