Shannon Hill is a Family Practice Physician in Victoria, with extensive experience in youth mental health. Prior to her medical career, Shannon practiced law in Vancouver. After articling with Lang Michener Lawrence & Shaw, she joined their Corporate and Securities team. She then moved to In House Counsel at Placer Dome Inc. where she gained experience in human resources, corporate and securities transactions, securities regulation, shareholder communications and governance. Shannon has previously served on the Board of Health and Home Care Society of BC.
Shannon earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Georgetown University. She then attended UBC for her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), and several years later, her Doctor of Medicine (MD).
Shannon is an alumni from the Class of 1985. Originally from Regina, SK, she enjoyed being among the first girls in boarding at SMUS. She and her husband (also an alumni) moved back to Victoria in 2015 for their three children to attend SMUS. Shannon and her husband have 15 family and extended family members who have attended SMUS, most as boarding students.
