Erin began her journey at SMUS in August 2024. She has been living on Vancouver Island since 2019 and has taught at various other schools, such as GNS, Brookes Westshore and St. Margaret's School. She taught internationally for a decade; living and teaching in Australia, the UK, Dubai and Singapore.
Her teaching philosophy is to help develop lifelong learners. Erin is excited to be teaching in the Middle School as a Grade 7 Mathematics and Science teacher. She loves to see when students have that "A-ha" moment in a lesson.
When she is not teaching or coaching track and field and cross country, she can be found chasing her own young children around in the Westshore. She also loves training for running events and doing yoga.
Erin is proud of recently becoming a member of IBEN—a group of educators who lead curriculum workshops around North America. Several years ago she was inducted into the University of Guelph's Hall of Fame for her participation in their Cross Country and Track Varsity teams.
