Christopher graduated from SMUS in 1998 having attended the school since Grade 2. He was an avid musician throughout his time at the school, performing several times as a featured soloist and as the orchestral viola section leader. He was awarded the Blencoe Cup for Music and a Headmaster's Award in his graduating year.
Christopher's path in education has taken him to international schools in Asia, particularly in Malaysia, where he taught for seven years in Kuala Lumpur. He returned to SMUS to teach primary music at the Junior School in 2018, and was also appointed as Middle School Strings teacher the following year. Additionally, Christopher coordinates the music for weekly Community Time gatherings at Junior School, leading group songs and supporting students in presenting solo performances.
Christopher is passionate about creating a rich culture of performance in the school community, presenting an eclectic variety of music from many genres that engages the musicians and the audience. He creates a learning environment that activates students as owners of their own learning.
